About the event
"The name derives from the central figure in the well-known parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) and suggests the intimacy of love. Christ, in his Passion, is the divine Bride.
The Holy Icon of Jesus Christ the Bridegroom, depicting Christ's Passion and His deep humility. The Lord is portrayed in a garment of red, representing His Passion, and wearing the crown of thorns, from when He was mocked and tortured by the soldiers as "King of the Jews". Our Savior wears a somber expression with downcast eyes, expressing His deep humility as he condescended for our salvation."
