When quality, speed, and the ability to use or learn industrial style controls and methods are what is needed, Mach4 is the correct choice. While there was only one version of Mach3, Mach4 is offered in different versions. Each version of Mach4 is built upon the same core. The standard Mach4 installer contains the screens and profiles to run Mills, Drills, Lathes, Routers, Tangential knife, Plasma, Laser, and 3D Printer machines. The full list of machines being controlled by Mach4 is much longer, but these machines can quickly be setup with the profiles and screens available in the standard Mach4 installer. Press Brake is the next machine to get a full profile for easy setup.

Mach3 and Mach4 are highly popular CNC control software for controlling CNC machines. While both these software programs turn your PC into a multi-axis controller, there are important differences between the two.
If you want to use Mach4, you can install it only on the 32-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows XP (version 220.127.116.1162). For controlling your CNC Router machine with an external controller, you can use both 32 and 64-bit versions of Mach3 or Mach4 software.
A noticeable feature of Mach3 and Mach4 is their capability to control your CNC router using a computer. They can convert a standard PC into a 6-axis CNC controller without using microprocessors. This means you can use either Mach3 or Mach 4 to run 4-axis CNC routers machines.
To use your PC as a standalone controller, you need to have a parallel port on your PC to interface with the CNC router machine. When controlling all six axes together, you need to pass on data between the computer and the CNC machine at high speeds, a parallel port helps you achieve this as it transfers data almost in real-time.

Both Mach3 and Mach4 have a conversational menu to feed in the type of material you are about to work on your CNC router machine. Mach3 and Mach4 have an offline mode that prevents any output from going to the motors if you want to run a simulation. To access the simulation feature, you will have to uninstall the parallel port drivers, which means you can no longer control your CNC machine. You will have to install the drivers again to control your machine.

What is MPG Pendant?MPG Pendant stands for Manual Pulse Generator Pendant or Handwheel(Chinese translation?)A manual pulse generator (MPG) is a device for generating electrical pulses (short bursts of low current) in electronic systems under the control of a human operator (manually), as opposed to the pulses automatically generated by software. MPGs are used on computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, on some microscopes, and on other devices that use precise component positioning. A typical MPG consists of a rotating knob that generates pulses that are sent to an equipment controller. The controller will then move the piece of equipment a predetermined distance for each pulse.For example, the handwheel of a typical CNC control will move any of the slides of the machine by one minimum increment, such as 1 micrometre or 1 ten-thousandth of an inch, for each pulse, and the handwheel will give one ratchet-like click or other haptic click to confirm to the user that a single increment occurred. Several selector switches control the handwheel's output: one allows each of the machine's axes (X, Y, Z, and so on) to be selected in turn; another shifts through several ranges of output, so that one click of the wheel is either one minimum increment, 10 times that, or 100 times that.The modern trend in CNC user interface design is to place the MPG on a handheld pendant that the operator can carry, making it conveniently independent from the main control panel, just as a game controller is independent from the video game console.
