Assists: You can enable the below options to make the game easier to play. These are great for beginners while they get their skater legs. Bear in mind that activating any of the below means your scores won't be uploaded to leaderboards.
To be able to purchase download games or download demos and free software from Nintendo eShop on the official website, you'll need to have a Nintendo Account which is linked to your Nintendo Switch console. You'll need to have your console registered as the active console for downloads for your Nintendo Account by visiting Nintendo eShop on the device you wish to download on at least once. For automatic download, your system must be updated and connected to the internet with automatic downloads enabled, and it must have enough storage to complete the download. To find out more, visit our Support section. Purchases made or demo downloads activated through the Nintendo website are processed via Nintendo eShop.
Update March 28, 2021: In our own testing, it seems you can "fix" this by uninstalling the next-gen "upgrade" patch and reverting back to the Xbox One version of the game. To do this, press the hamburger (three-lines) button on your controller with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 selected, then go to Manage game and add-ons. From here, select the upgrade patch and remove it. You may also need to uninstall the THPS1+2 "Xbox Series XS" client, and re-download the other non-Xbox Series XS client instead. This is a temporary work around while we wait to see if Activision fixes the Xbox Series S/X version, which is a separate client entirely.
In any case, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War was broken for several weeks, as a result of Activision not using Smart Delivery. If you had the non-upgraded version of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, the game would crash relentlessly on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, until you purchased the upgrade pack and re-downloaded the entire game. Activision's methodology for "cross-gen upgrades" seems to have now claimed another victim in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
Built as a single game with persistent progress, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 consists of remastered versions of the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater first released on PlayStation in 1999, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 released in 2000. In addition to enhancing the visuals, the collection expands on the titles by featuring new skaters, challenges, music tracks, tricks introduced in later games of the franchise, and an online multiplayer mode.[3][4] Three songs of the original soundtracks are excluded from the remake due to licensing issues.[5]
Further to this, we can't yet speak to how well online actually performs on Switch at this present time as servers weren't available for us to try out the various multiplayer modes, so fingers crossed it all runs smoothly once it starts populating with eager skaters. These small niggles aside, however, this really is an excellent port, a rock solid Switch edition of a stellar remake that brings together two of the very best games we've ever had the pleasure of playing. This is a collection we highly recommend you grab a hold of at the earliest opportunity; an arcade sports experience that's as much fun for avid skate fans as it is for casual gamers just looking for a well crafted and addictive timesink to disappear into.
@AllieKitsune this is the reason why, despite Resident Evil being my favourite game series I don't own any Switch versions, because every release from Capcom is partially a download. If these games had both been on a cart I would have bought it, but unless I'm caught out I don't buy any of these half physical/half digital releases on principle. The Bayonetta release bar the limited Japanese copy did the same thing too. It's frustrating.
@burninmylight yes it's all on their mate ? I only buy games that have all the content. It makes my sons laugh ( who are used to updates with their Xbox) that I get miffed if a game even has a 20MB download all the game should be on cartridge and playable in year's to come ?

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a skateboarding game developed by Neversoft and released by Activision. It is the sequel to the first installment of the Tony Hawk series of extreme sports games and has been released for the PlayStation 2 in 2021, with additional ports for Microsoft Windows, Game Cube, and Nintendo DS the following year. This game is quite different from the other installments of the franchise; it takes elements from other similar games as well as combines them into a new and innovative package. Some of the elements in the game are quite similar to those found in other Tony Hawk games like Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam. It also includes some elements of the Tony Hawk series of games but improves upon them in several ways.
In single session mode, you are given a specific amount of time to complete various tasks without falling. Each task can be completed either by skating or jumping. This mode is quite fun as you get to explore the world of Tony Hawk and do some trick jumps that look a lot like some of the famous skaters. In the online co-op mode, two or more people can join your cause and attempt to complete the challenges with you. Korean versions were not released in North America or Europe but due to the popularity of the game and the fact that Korean gamers tend to be very choosy about which skateboard game they choose to play, many were forced to give the skaters an opportunity at being featured on-screen.
The definitive skateboarding video game saga is back with a vengeance. With flawless graphics, spectacular tricks, an explosive soundtrack, and tons of pro skaters, it's everything fans love about THPS. You can create your own skaters and parks, and even skate online with friends.
Intuitive controls and a gentle learning curve make the game approachable as well. In a matter of minutes, anyone can experience what it feels like to be a pro skater. With a robust physics engine, landing a trick in the game feels uniquely satisfying.
The developers over at Vicarious Visions did a superb job remastering the graphics. The game features models and textures in native 4K resolution. The level of detail is astounding, both for pro skaters and the game's many locations.
This remastered version packs all the classic skaters of the past, along with a roster of new faces. The game has all the original tricks, plus new ones introduced in later games. This version also includes several brand-new locations.
Secret skaters are characters that can only be unlocked and played as if you managed to complete a certain challenge or challenges in-game. Once you've achieved this, you'll be able to play as these skaters whenever you like.
It's important to note that you must have game mods disabled if you wish to complete the majority of these challenges. The only skaters that don't have any outfits challenges are the secret skaters and The Ripper who is a deluxe edition exclusive.
Over the years, the franchise has switched hands numerous times, resulting in a noticeable dip in quality during specific eras. That said, the core gameplay loop has mainly remained the same: hop on a skateboard, chain together different tricks, and explore levels while playing as a variety of professional skaters.
Unlike most rereleases at the time, THPS2X kept most of the content from the original game while adding new career modes, levels, multiplayer support, visual effects, and a host of QoL improvements. A balance meter was added for grind tricks, and for the first time, players were able to create a custom female skater.
People love free steam games, no doubt. But what many people hate is downloading so many parts and trying to install them on their own. This is why we are the only site that pre-installs every game for you. We have many categories like shooters, action, racing, simulators and even VR games! We strive to satisfy our users and ask for nothing in return. We revolutionized the downloading scene and will continue being your #1 site for free games.
It also shares a particular spirit with other skating games in embracing the spirit of youth culture and rebellion. You play as an inline skater who tags a fictional version of Tokyo with graffiti while gliding away from figures of authority. Stringing all this together is the DJ of the Jet Set Radio pirate radio station, who broadcasts a thumping soundtrack to you. When you tune in, expect music that combines everything from J-pop and hip-hop to funk and electronic dance.
How did I prepare this list?I started by writing a list of all games I remember having fun with, on various platforms from Nintendo to PC.Then I looked into games available for download and other top downloads.A lot of them were not downloadable, but I got enough to share you a good list of games you need to play on Retropie.
You can download it from the official website for any Raspberry Pi model. But I recommend you to have the most powerful one (Raspberry Pi 4B for the moment) because some games need more power in order to play them correctly.
To give you some perspective, the game was only announced in 2020, where it was said to be in the very early stages of development. Shortly after, the official Twitter account confirmed that a development team had been formed in January 2021. 041b061a72
