"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same."
This Sunday, we read the Holy Gospel according to Luke, chapter 6 and verses 31 to 36 where we are asked to love our enemies and be merciful because God is "...kind to the ungrateful and the selfish". Could anything be harder than to love a person who has sought your injury or achieved it? What must we do to be free of injury visited upon us or injury by us?
