Convert to Eastern Orthodoxy? No Way! I can't sing acappella and don't know languages...

Updated: Oct 4, 2020

“God listens, not to our voice, but to our heart” (St. Cyprian, The Lord’s Prayer). “In the world in which we live we must be Christians on Christ’s own terms” (Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh).

Friends, please enjoy the short video (below) of some thoughts and insights on what any of us might find when we go to any church anywhere INCLUDING Eastern Orthodox Churches here in the U.S.

As Orthodox Christians, we know that “God gave [us] a mouth and a tongue, so you can give thanks to Him, so you can build up your neighbor. The debt of love should always be owing: ‘owe no man anything, save to love one another’ (Romans 13:8) (St. John Chrysostom, Homily 14 on Ephesians 4, Homily 2 on Philippians 1). This fact makes our finding a Taj-Mahal of a Church or tent for a Church as irrelevant as a tennis racquet being brought to play the game of football. What does makes all the difference is if the Word of God is preached, prayer is offered to Christ our God, the sacraments are shared, and a Christian community of people is present and looking to share the light of Christ to world...This happens no matter size or location the community may find themselves,

A very tiny Orthodox Church built in Antarctica.
